Day 2: The Currency of Confidence

Day 1 was about recognizing the battle, Day 2 is about protecting your most valuable asset: Your Confidence.

In the economy of Heaven, faith is the currency, but confidence is the “delivery system.” When you lose your confidence, you lose your ability to lay claim to what God has already promised you. This is why the enemy doesn’t just want your joy or your peace—he wants your assurance. He knows that a believer who knows they belong is dangerous.

The Anatomy of a “Casted” Confidence

The phrase “do not cast away” implies a choice. It’s the image of a soldier throwing down his shield because it feels too heavy to carry in the heat of the sun.

We cast away our confidence when we:

  • Listen to the “Earthly Clock”: We decide that because it hasn’t happened yet, it won’t happen at all.
  • Compare Our Middle to Someone’s End: We look at others and decide we must have missed God’s “space” for us.
  • Mistake Feelings for Truth: We feel weary, so we conclude we are defeated.

But your confidence isn’t based on your performance or your current mood. It is anchored in the Immutable Character of God.

The “Square Face” Strategy

The text we started with says: “Look him right square in the face.” To look the enemy in the face is to refuse to look down. In spiritual warfare, looking down is a sign of shame and submission. Looking away is a sign of distraction. But looking him in the face is a sign of Equality in Authority. Through Christ, you are not a victim begging for a break; you are a co-heir speaking from a position of power. Boldness is not the absence of fear; it is the presence of a higher Truth.

Purity as Power

The second half of your decree focuses on sanctification, purity, and holiness. In our modern world, we often view “holiness” as a list of “don’ts.” But in the Kingdom, holiness is a “do.”

. Sanctification is the process of setting yourself apart for a specific purpose.

.  Purity is the removal of the “clutter” that dulls your spiritual edge.

When you live a life of fellowship with the Lord, your confidence grows naturally.

Why?

Because you aren’t hiding anything. You have nothing to be ashamed of. A pure heart is a bold heart. As the proverb says, “The righteous are as bold as a lion.”

Living as “Amazing and Beautiful”

You can not walk in the Kingdom if you are constantly trashing the “vessel” God is using to occupy it. You must accept the truth: You are awesome, beautiful, and amazing. This isn’t vanity; it’s a recognition of God’s craftsmanship. When you believe you are amazing because He made you, you stop looking for validation from the world. You stop asking the enemy for permission to exist.

Activation: The Anchor Point

Today, identify the “shield” you’ve been tempted to drop. Pick it back up and declare:

“My confidence is not based on my circumstances. It is anchored in the Lord. I am sanctified, I am pure, and I am bold. I refuse to cast away my assurance. I am amazing because my Father is the King, and I will occupy my space with my head held high.

Reflections for Day 2:

1.What “weight” has been making your shield of confidence feel too heavy to carry lately?

2. How does the reality that you are “beautiful and amazing” change the way you face opposition?

3. In what area is God asking you to “set yourself apart” (sanctify) so that your confidence can be sharpened?
